I am a contract Editor in Chief for Nordic APIs, a high-impact blog for API practitioners. As a freelancer I've written for CIO.com, InfoWorld, DevOps.com, Cloud Native Now, Acceleration Economy, Security Boulevard, Tech Beacon, and other enterprise IT publications. Lately, I've been writing long-form features that gather viewpoints on pressing technology trends. I currently have a monthly column with LeadDev, called DirectorPlus.

My first beat was the API economy, cataloging APIs at the now-defunct ProgrammableWeb. This initial focus flowed into covering other emerging areas, like DevOps, cloud-native, low-code, open-source, AI, and beyond. Throughout my work I strive to answer tough questions by interviewing experts, covering reports, and creating thought leadership to advance the industry.

In addition to journalistic publications, I have helped numerous developer-focused companies with their technical marketing (see /Services). I have produced thought leadership articles, executive ghostwriting, white papers and case studies, consulting reports, and given presentations. Given my background in the API industry, I've created content for API companies like Postman, Treblle, Zuplo, APIboost, Bump.sh, Curity, Mulesoft, and others.

I am originally from Seattle and attended the University of Washington, where I majored in English and studied software entrepreneurship at the Foster School of Business. I now live and work with my family in Portland, Maine.
